There's not much I think I can say that would express my current feelings as everyone including myself are shocked right now. Shocked, and very disappointed about how this new year has already gone off to a bad start for many. I can even say that none of my words will ever match how brilliant this man was.
Sir John Hurt, whom had fought and won against pancreatic cancer in 2015 has apparently succumbed to other illnesses and health complications that I feel aren't worth talking about- as I'd rather celebrate his life even while I and many others mourn his death. He had many, many fantastic rolls on (and off!) the screen, in The Elephant Man, Harry Potter, and even becoming the War Doctor in the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who... Granted I didn't name all his roles on the screen or on stage, as I fear I'd end up typing all night (or getting lazy and copy-pasting everything instead.)
With his amazing talents, he had all of us in awe and I'm absolutely devastated to now know of his passing. May he be forever impressing the stars above and kicking alien ass out there in the afterlife!
Here is an article that's probably worded way better than I can.

The Thirteenth Doctor
Once they unveil what Whittaker's official Doctor costume will be, we'll set up a folder for her.
Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of stories they can tell with this new incarnation, what do you think?
The Doctor Falls
I cried. The first time Doctor Who actually brought tears to my eyes. Twelve cemented his place as my Favorite Doctor during Series Nine, so... I DON’T WANT HIM TO GO!
Spoilers...
Easily the BEST swan song of any Doctor. The Masters were brilliant, them killing each other was brilliant, the Doctor’s speech to them was a definitive moment for ANY Doctor. The callbacks were all on-point--Capaldi channeled Four AND One in the best possible ways. That ending was AMAZING. Just… just perfection.
Shapeshifting, timetravelling lesbian puddle ...uh
This episode felt phoned-in and I don’t think it was a good start to the season.
Bill was okay, but Nardole was a lot more interesting. I wish the writers didn’t treat him like the redheaded step-companion and gave him more focus, his dynamic with the Doctor is something different and interesting. At least Bill starts out with some decent characterization and isn’t some enigma gimmick like Clara started out as. But I’m tired of pretty girls from modern England. I really wanted her to be from the 80s like her outfit and intro short implied.
!SPOILERS!
As for the monster of the week… okay, Doctor Who is usually
