So, I don't really have much to say about this episode... it was okay, but I just couldn't get into it. And good grief, that's some serious mood whiplash, Clara. You sure you shouldn't be on any medication?

The Thirteenth Doctor
Once they unveil what Whittaker's official Doctor costume will be, we'll set up a folder for her.
Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of stories they can tell with this new incarnation, what do you think?
The Doctor Falls
I cried. The first time Doctor Who actually brought tears to my eyes. Twelve cemented his place as my Favorite Doctor during Series Nine, so... I DON’T WANT HIM TO GO!
Spoilers...
Easily the BEST swan song of any Doctor. The Masters were brilliant, them killing each other was brilliant, the Doctor’s speech to them was a definitive moment for ANY Doctor. The callbacks were all on-point--Capaldi channeled Four AND One in the best possible ways. That ending was AMAZING. Just… just perfection.
Shapeshifting, timetravelling lesbian puddle ...uh
This episode felt phoned-in and I don’t think it was a good start to the season.
Bill was okay, but Nardole was a lot more interesting. I wish the writers didn’t treat him like the redheaded step-companion and gave him more focus, his dynamic with the Doctor is something different and interesting. At least Bill starts out with some decent characterization and isn’t some enigma gimmick like Clara started out as. But I’m tired of pretty girls from modern England. I really wanted her to be from the 80s like her outfit and intro short implied.
!SPOILERS!
As for the monster of the week… okay, Doctor Who is usually

I really liked this episode up until the last ten minutes or so I kinda think it should have been a two-parter. We met some really great, interesting characters this episode and I would have liked to have seen more of them. Plus the mummy and the 66 second thing was an awesome threat but I felt like the 'solution' was far too quick and a bit of a let down after all the tension the majority of this episode built up.
CLARA OH MY GOD FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL ARE YOU DOING. You make a valid, strong case for why you don't want to hang around with him any more and then right at the last minute you're all 'oops never mind, I'm stupid, sorry'? AAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHHH XC
Twelve has some very likable qualities but there is a side to him that is disctinctly UNlikable and quite often I'm not a fan of the way he treats Clara. He emotionally manipulates her and then makes her feel guilty about it. And by making a complete 180-degree turn on her decision like that will just make him think he's got away with it and she'll never ACTUALLY leave him no matter how many times he does it.
I dunno, maybe I just 'go off' companions when they stick around but the Doctor changes. I LOVED Nine and Rose, absolutely adored them, but couldn't STAND Ten and Rose. And I liked Eleven and Clara, and now I'm all mehhhh, Twelve needs someone else, someone who WILL go through with their decisions, stand up to him and not tolerate him acting like a twat. Like Perkins, he would be great, I can just imagine him being all 'whatever' when Twelve insults him and walking off until Twelve starts missing him and apologises
TLDR: Good threat and story but a classic example of the writers/Moffat showing how weak-willed they believe women to be XC
